Free SpyTrap promo codes

The short version: SpyTrap is normally $0.99. The codes below make it free. They're single-use and first come, first served — if one is already taken, try the next.

SpyTrap launched on Google Play on 1 August 2026. It logs every time an app on your phone uses your camera or microphone — which app, what time, how long, and whether your screen was locked when it happened. Android shows a green dot for about a second and then forgets; this keeps the record.

I'd rather have people actually using it and telling me what's wrong with it than have a handful of sales. So here are free codes.

How to redeem a promo code on Android

If tapping the link above didn't work, do it manually:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. Tap your profile picture, top right
  3. Tap Payments & subscriptions → Redeem code
  4. Enter the code exactly as written and tap Redeem
  5. Confirm, then install SpyTrap — the code covers the full price, so there's nothing to pay

A few things that trip people up: codes are single-use, so an "invalid code" message usually means somebody got there first — just try the next one. The code must be redeemed on the same Google account you'll install with. And promo codes are region-locked to the country your Play account is registered in.

What I'd like in return (but won't ask twice)

Nothing obligatory. If you use it for a few days and it's useful, an honest review on Play genuinely helps — and if it's broken, a bad one is fair too. What I actually want to know is whether detection fires properly on your phone, because that's the part I can't test broadly. Manufacturers handle the underlying APIs differently and some of them restrict what any app can see.

I'm explicit about that in the technical write-up: on some skins attribution degrades to a candidate list rather than a definite app name, and aggressive battery managers can pause the background service. When that leaves a gap in your log, the app tells you instead of hiding it.

What SpyTrap actually does

Everything stays on the phone. No account, no cloud, no analytics — Google Play's Data Safety section shows no data collected and no data shared. It detects that a sensor was used, never what it captured. More detail on the homepage and in the privacy policy.
